Here’s  rough of a proposed email we will be sending out for a sweepstakes the company’s hosting this winter.

I know. it’s been forever. shame shame, shame on me. but much has happened, which includes stepping out of the world of non-profits and freelancing and into the world of health insurance and 401k’s. I work for a company that runs reward programs for other companies, as well as our own dining program, called iDine. We recently worked up a new campaign to push iDine. It was a pretty fun experience, particularly brainstorming. Especially when half of my team mates are improv guys, who perform and teach at places like Improv Olympics and Second City. So needless to say, I basically had free entertainment for two weeks. We’re currently putting on the final bits to where we landed, but I thought I’d post some of my proposals that didn’t get chosen (to my pure and utter gut wrenching dismay. haha jk. or am i…..haha no i’m really just kidding) anyway, hope you like them!

IHOP–KC bookstore promo card

So I recently started designing again at IHOP–KC. It’s been wildly intimidating. Sometimes I can’t help but pay some attention to the nagging thoughts of “you’re not as good as you thought you were.” But at the end of the day it’s still been fun. It’s this combination of discovering all these new things that i never got a chance to get into, and also realizing that i do know more than i had originally assumed. =)

One of my first projects going into my new (old?) job was a business card sized promo card for our new online bookstore. I hope you like it!
