As someone without insurance/a primary care physician Hey Jane made abortion care affordable and easy. It was around half the cost of Planned Parenthood. My medication was delivered quickly and the instructions were thorough. My only criticism is that I don’t think there was enough of a warning about the level of pain you may experience. My medical abortion was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life. I think being a little more mentally prepared for the severity of pain could have made the experience a little less scary. I was completely incapacitated for a few hours during the process. From what I understand now this is normal but at the time it felt a little scary and overwhelming.
