I initially tried to access an abortion through my own doctor, but it was taking longer than I wanted, so I did some research and found Hey Jane. Hey Jane was enormously helpful and supportive in this process for me. I received all medications quickly and they offered support by real people throughout the entire process. The instructions for use were crystal clear and easy for me to follow, especially the messaging around how to know something is wrong and when to seek medical attention. My own doctor actually uses the same pharmaceutical vendor as Hey Jane to send out the medication, so that was also incredibly reassuring and comforting for me. While the experience of having a medical abortion was unpleasant and physically painful, I’m glad I had access to Hey Jane.

When I found out I was pregnant I get scared and panicked because it was not something I was prepared for nor something I was seeking. My decision to have an abortion was something I knew was right for me and although I was afraid to do it alone I trusted HeyJane to get me through it. I think this is a great option for women who maybe don’t have the time to go and do the pre appointment and the appointment 2 days later and then the appointment weeks after. It was very convenient and all the instructions were easy to follow. Without feeling like someone is judging you for making the best choice for you.

The Hey Jane team was there for me during one of the toughest times of my life. I found them searching for clinics online. At first I thought it was too good to be true. The reviews on this page as well as media articles helped reassure me that this is a real service. After a bit of research, I decided to go for it since it was the fastest and most private option for a medication termination. I submitted my application on a Saturday of a long weekend so it took 3 days before I heard back, and that was an excruciating wait. However, compared to the clinics I was seeing online, the wait would have been longer, I would have had to show up physically at a clinic, potentially multiple times…and I was terrified of meeting protesters or someone I know during such a private and vulnerable time. Hey Jane was 100% worth it. Smooth service, discreet, supportive, timely, informative, attentive…I don’t have enough words. Thank you and God bless you.

I always felt like there was someone to answer a question if/when I had one. Also the process is explained thoroughly and what to do if something did not go as expected. I would definitely recommend Hey Jane to a friend if they needed it, for birth control or an abortion.
