Honestly I was scared going into this process, but Hey Jane was there to answer all questions and concerns I had. The medication came very quickly with very clear instructions so there was no confusion before, during, or after the process.

Wow... I can't believe this level of choice and privacy is possible. A huge thanks to all the dedicated women who've made HeyJane's simple, supportive process possible for people like me. Choosing to terminate if it's a really personal and difficult decision and this made it much less difficult. The actual medical process was much more gentle than I expected. I hope to never need to use hey Jake again but if I did... I would feel much less anxious.

Hey Jane made me feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. It was not a traumatic or painful experience. My pain management, health and mental health were all taken into consideration. Hey Jane created a pain management plan for me, gave me a guide on how to get ready for my abortion and provided a forum with other women like me to reach out to and make sure I didn’t feel alone. I had a peaceful experience when going through my abortion and am very grateful to the members of Hey Jane. I would recommend Hey Jane to any woman that must make the choice to have an abortion. Sometimes it’s a difficult decision, but Hey Jane made things simple and created a beautiful, caring, safe and nonjudgmental environment for women.

In a very dark period of time, I found a little light in here. I am so grateful. Everything was done fast, I received reassurance from the staff and medical advice. Everything was easier than I thought.

Getting in contact with a medical professional from the comfort of your own home was nice. It was nice to always have someone there to message if I had any questions. And not having to step into a doctors office was nice.

Hey Jane is an amazing team of people here to help you through the process. I never felt alone. I could ask questions to a nurse whenever I needed to. There’s a forum where you can share your story and read other women’s stories who are going through what you are going through and who have the same thoughts and emotions. I was nervous of course but after completing the steps and taking the medication I made it through the other side safe and happy.

Preparing patients for the emotional trauma of having an abortion! I know there are some that are ok with it. But there are others of us that thought we would be ok but were in no way prepared for the emotional loss. I feel as though this process was too easy to get into. I was unprepared for the violent pain of the misoprostol...at one point I was peeing, shitting, bleeding, and vomiting all at the same time. I then bled for weeks after. My period is still not normal but I'm pretty sure I just had one. The pure emotional pain has impacted my life and my relationship. I never want to go through this process again, and I feel sorry for the naive women with similar values that may stumble into this process as a last resort or out of fear.

HeyJane has provided a convenient and affordable treatment to my need. Not only were representatives prompt in assisting with my questions and concerns, but I was provided thorough instructions for my plan of treatment without leaving my home. Results are effective and help was readily available. I did not run into any complications or problems. Thanks HeyJane.

This service is so important. Anonymity can be a barrier to reproductive health because of a pervasive culture of shame and stigma, but Hey Jane completely negates that: it was just me, whomever I chose to tell, and a team of healthcare providers and general support who never even saw my face. It was also a third of the cost of my local Planned Parenthood. I'm so thankful my partner stumbled across this service :)
